A surprise box

Chemaco shop offers little boxes like box of matches which are waiting to be painted.

Decorate them with decoupage technique, paints or pens and turn them into surprise boxes or unusual Christmas greeting cards.

Material and tools:

- boxes
- stickers with filigree hearts
- a napkin with a Christmas motif
- silver or gold collage paper
- glue for napkin technique
- star shaped paillette
- gold liner
- paper and scissors

Instructions:

1 Spread the glue for napkin technique on the upper side of the box and then place the part of the napkin with the motif. Use brush to flatten it. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the sides. When glue is dry, cut off the napkin extra.

2 Cut silver or gold collage paper into a ribbon 3 cm wide. Twist the ribbon several times, like accordion the size of a box of matches. Draw a heart and then cut it out.

3 Decorate the ribbon with stars, outline with liner or write down a message. Glue the beginning of the ribbon to the bottom of the box of matches. Glue a sticker with a filigree heart on the top of the box.
