Gold-plated baubles

Golden Christmas magic with gold metal leaves.

You have met with napkin technique. Add gold leaves and you are ready for Christmas magic.

Tools:
- easy metal (gold, silver or three-coloured leaves)
- glue for metal leaves
- plastic baubles
- a napkin with smaller Christmas motifs
- glue for napkin technique
- a soft brush
- white acrylic paint

1 Cut out the motif from the napkin. It should not be bigger than the plastic medallion.
2 Spread the glue for napkin technique inside the medallion and then glue carefully the napkin facing the inside. Leave it to dry.

3 Paint with white Decorlack only the part with the napkin on.
4 Spread the glue for leaves inside the medallion. Cover completelly the rest of the medallion with glue and leave it to dry 15 min.
5 Tear a bit of gold leaf and carefully place it on the glued bit. Dab with soft brush till it gets glued completely and irregularities vanish. Do the same with the rest of the medallion. Brush off the extra gold leaves with a soft brush.
6 Join the medallions a thread a decorative ribbon through a hole.

You can decorate other objects as well using one same technique, for example a lid of a box, but then you should use a special polish to protect it from flaking.
