A bee and a ladybird
Make bees and ladybirds using small jars.
Material and tools:
- small terracotta jars
- cottonballs with face
- Marabu Decorlack in red and black
- thick felt in red and yellow shade
- black fuzzy sticks (pipe cleaners)
- yellow and red wooden beads
- a little red pompom and a glue
Instructions:
1 Paint the jars with decorlack,
paint the ladybird's edge red.
2 Fix the head on a stick and paint
everything except the face.
3 Cut out wings for the bee and
ladybird from thicker felt. Add dots for the ladybird. Cut out
two thin yellow strips.
4 Cut a piece of soft wire. Twist it
in the shape of antennae. Hang a little yellow wooden ball at
each end. Use scissors to cut a hole on the top of the head to
insert antennae.
5 Glue yellow felt strips on the back
of the bee, glue the wings and the head.
6 Glue the wings on to the bee along
the whole length. Make little antennae, press and then glue the
head onto the jar.
