Stay Cozy Winter Tray
Cozy up at snack time to this painted wooden tray made with Extreme Sheen™.
SUPPLIES:
DecoArt® Extreme Sheen™
Aquamarine (DPM16)
Pearl (DPM01)
Rose Gold (DPM03)
Silver (DPM13)
Tin (DPM09)
Other supplies:
water container, palette or plastic plate, paper towels, stylus or pencil, transfer paper, sandpaper, 2" flat brush (Americana Decor), #1 and #2 round brushes, slatted wooden tray with metal handles, 1" angled brush (Americana Decor).
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Allow paint to dry fully before continuing to next step.
1 Sand any rough edges on the tray.
2 Paint the inside surface of the tray with Pearl. Add a second coat of paint, if needed. Paint the sides and borders of the tray with Rose Gold and Aquamarine. Paint the metal handles with Rose Gold. Allow the paint to dry fully before continuing to the next step.
3 Lay the transfer paper shiny side down against the inside of the tray. Center and lay the printed pattern on top of the transfer paper. Tape the edges of the paper to hold it in place. Use a pencil to trace the image. Apply gentle pressure as you trace to ensure that the image is transferred successfully.
4 Use a small paintbrush to fill in the transferred pattern. Add details to the trailer wheels, a handle for the door, and small silver snowflakes to the background. Let dry completely.
